What Are DTF Transfers?

DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers are the easiest way to bring your designs to life. Your artwork is printed onto a special film, coated with adhesive powder, and heat-pressed onto almost any fabric.

The result? Bright, soft, and durable prints—no pretreatment required.

How It Works

1. Load it up – Place your garment on the heat press.
2. Press – 290–300°F, medium pressure, 3 seconds.
3. Peel – Hot peel right away.
4. Final Press – Cover with parchment/Teflon, press 3 seconds.
5. Done – Ready to wear, sell, or ship.

Artwork Guidelines

Want your transfers to look amazing? It all starts with the file you send us. Here’s how to get it right:

• File Types We Love – PNG, PDF, or vector files (AI, EPS, SVG).
• Backgrounds – Transparent background is best (no white boxes).
• Resolution – 300 DPI at the size you want printed. Blurry in = blurry out.
• Colors – Use RGB color mode for the most vibrant results.
• Size – Scale artwork to the exact dimensions you want.

Pro tip: Not sure? Send it anyway—we’ll let you know if it needs a tweak before printing.

Color Disclaimer

• We love vibrant colors, but here’s what you should know:
• We do not Pantone match, and exact Pantone accuracy can’t be guaranteed.
• Colors on screen don’t always match printed colors.
• Reprints of the same design may have slight variation.

Our promise: we’ll always do our best to deliver bright, high-quality prints. If perfect color matching is critical, we recommend ordering a sample first.

Availability

• Orders placed before 10am (Mon–Fri) ship the same afternoon
• Orders after 10am ship the next business day
• We currently ship within the U.S. only

Do I need a fancy heat press?
Nope. A basic press works. A home iron can work too, but we recommend a heat press for the best results.

How long do transfers last?
With proper pressing, they last wash after wash without fading. We’ve personally seen prints last for years.

What fabrics can I use?
Cotton, polyester, blends, fleece, canvas—you name it.

Is there a minimum order?
No minimums! Order 1 or 1,000—it’s up to you.

How fast is the turnaround?
Super fast! Order before 10am (Mon–Fri) and your transfers will be ready for pickup after 3pm the same day or shipped that afternoon. Orders after 10am will be ready after 3pm the next business day. (Weekend orders roll into Monday.)

What file types and resolution do I need?
PNG, PDF, or vector files (AI, EPS, SVG) at 300 DPI with a transparent background for best results.

Will you replace my garment if I am not happy?

At Press Peel Ship, we specialize in producing high-quality DTF transfers — not garments. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

• Press Peel Ship is not liable in any way, shape, or form for the cost, replacement, or reimbursement of any garments that are pressed using our transfers — regardless of the outcome.

• This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Transfers not adhering or peeling

  • Dye migration

  • Color variations or mismatched expectations

  • Incorrect sizing, scale, or layout of the design

  • Issues related to heat, pressure, dwell time, fabric type, or application technique

  • Thin lines, fine detail, or other design-related complications

• We strongly recommend testing each transfer on a sample garment before running a full production. Variables such as fabric content, press settings, and application methods can significantly affect results.
